My new addiction & SiriusOk, I admit it. I am now addicted to myspace. Yes sir-eeee-bob. The chick that was NEVER going to post anything on myspace now has a profile, pictures and 15 friends. Being a cops daughter I've ALWAYS been overly cautious of who I talk to or what I do etc... I've heard absolute horror stories about it and people stealing identitys and stalking etc... Ok, well I've decided that if you don't give out too much info and talk to creeps that you don't know, you should be ok. :) lol. Well in the past couple of days I have found people that I've gone to school with and flight attendants that I used to work with etc.. How much fun is that?! I'm telling you. I am one of those people that LOVES to keep in touch with anyone and everyone. A good friend of mine is just amazed that I know where 3/4 of our classmates from high school are. (Keep in mind there were like only 80 of us.) Granted that I did plan our reunion. I just wanted to see everyone and see what they've been up to etc since I'd seen them last. So anyway, now I have a few more to keep in touch with. Pretty freaking cool if you ask me!!!
Sirius has ROYALLY pissed me off lately. What is up with those fuckers?! Assholes! Anyway, I got Sirius for myself and another for my mom last Mother's Day. Figured it be a great present. Well I will admit, I'm a procrastinater. Really really bad. I was supposed to mail in the boxes to get my $50 per unit rebates. Ok, I admit. I mailed it like a day or two late so I half ass didnt' expect to get either of the rebates. That was an error on my part. They sent me a letter and told me that I'd been denied blah blah blah. Oh whatever. My fault anyway so there's no sense bitching about it. So I have no problems with them for months and then the receiver I'd bought started shitting the bed. It wouldn't stay connected all the time and would constantly "re-set" itself and beep and was just plan annoying so I called them and they said that they'd send me a new receiver and when I get it I had 30 days to send mine back. I'm smart so I sent it via UPS with a tracking number. This was in oh, maybe Feb or March. I got the new unit, plugged it in, it was all a go. Sent the old one back maybe a day or two later. So on 19May06 I'm checking my online banking and I see the fuckers took $79.99 out of my account!? WTF?! I'd sent the unit back a MONTH prior! WTF?! I get on the phone and talk to some guy that says that he sees that I've returned the unit and that they recieved it at the warehouse but for some reason they haven't received it in the return dept or something like that and there's nothign that he can do w/o a tracking number. I think this was on a Friday or maybe Saturday morning so there was nothing he was going to be able to do till Monday anyway so I sat on it and called as soon as I got to work on Monday. I get a chick this time. Her name was Narika or something similar to it. Very nice lady. Now keep in mind that I KNOW it's not their fault this happened, they just happened to be the one that's hired to "solve" problems and complaints. Anyway, I talk to her and she says that it was received etc... and that she'll send the refund through and I should get it in 3-4 business days. Well I'm not trying to be a bitch but come on! I'm a single mother and $80 is a lot of money to me!!! Keep in mind this was MAY 19. I give them the benefit of the doubt due to Memorial Day etc... Check my account today and it's STILL not there. WTF?! So I call back and get the name chick--Narika and go over my whole schpeel again. She pulls up my info and remembers me. Thank God! I explain to her that I STILL haven't gotten my refund. She apologizes and tells me that they go through Verisign to do refunds and what not and they've been down. Should be back up today sometime. So I ask "I have to wait ANOTHER 3-4 days!?" She was sorry yadda yadda yadda... Now I do understand it's not her fault and I try not to be a bitch and told her that I was sorry if I was. But again, I did EVERYTHING that I was supposed to do. The first guy admitted to me that they received it in the warehouse. Now I do understand that it's not her fault or even Sirius' fault that Verisign went down but come on! I mean, could they not call me and ask if I'd like a live check sent to me that I can cash and put back into my checking account? Are they going to pay for anything that may bounce? I mean, they expect me to pay my bill to them on time yet, they don't have enough deciency to call me and tell me what's going on when I've been waiting for 2 freaking weeks for my money?! Nice. I have 3 receivers under my name that I pay them for. Come on! Fuckers! It's too bad that I really like them or I'd just cancel and go to XM but NASCAR is coming in 2007 and they already have hockey so I can't cancel. Granted that I don't listen to them very often but once in a while I have to check the scores. Oh, and can't forget that they have the Playboy channell. I can't give that up! I'm learning WAY too much! :)
Moral of this story-- They suck. I'm pissed. And SOMEONE is going to get a letter and I better get something out of it!!! :) Hell hath no fury like Sarah scorned.
