My new favorite song...While surfing the net yesterday I came across a song that is just cool as hell. It's by Buckcherry and it's called "Crazy Bitch". Yes I know, a bit harsh and the lyrics are not for everyone, a bit too crude for some I'll admit. I, however think it is just cool!!! I'd never heard of the group before but they remind me of the great days of the hair bands with a bit of something else that I just cannot put my finger on right now. Anyway, it'd be a blast to dance to that's for sure. I cannot wait to give it to my DJ friend so he can play it when I decide to go out. I've been teasing him w/ it all day today but I won't tell him who it's by or what it's called because I know he'll play it this Friday when I'm not out and it's now MY song! :)
While on the same subject of crudeness (is that a word!?), my sister and her fiance' have THE funniest dvd I have seen in a long time. It's a Stephen Lynch comedy dvd called "Live at the El Rey". OMG! We're talking funny! His facial expressions alone are priceless. I have to get my hands on that dvd again. I love it. Then again, I have a sick sense of humor and I'm not offended by much. Hell, I'm usually the one making the guys blush around the office. :)
Lets see... What else... I haven't touched S's room anymore... I'm going to try to get that done between tonight and tomorrow. I have a GREAT idea for her ceiling. She has a white fan with a nice white glass thingy covering the light. Anyway, the walls in her bedroom are an apple green of sorts and we're going to accent with pink so I decided that I should paint the blades of the fan like petals and then paint some green leaves on the ceiling coming out of the flower so it looks like it's hanging from the ceiling. Ah, I know what I'm talking about! Hopefully it actually looks like I imagine when I'm all done with it.
The freaking snow is finally melting. Almost all gone. I love it. Supposed to get the sauna fixed tonight. Sure hope it gets done. S is still gone so I have to pick her up tonight. I didn't get much sleep last night. I had to bring a suitcase and other random stuff to my cousins last night as she and her hubby are finally taking their honeymoon to Mexico... 5 years later. :) Anyway, ended up staying and having TOO MUCH beer. (It was just tasting WAY too good for some reason.) Left there and stopped to see a friend. Got home late. Got to bed even later. The cat is back to normal thank God but I wasn't too happy about that last night when he wouldn't quit crawling all over me and let me sleep. Bastard.
K, I suppose that's it for now. I may think of something good or maybe even great later but the brain is too fried now. All I keep thinking is that I have 2 more hours of work until I get home. Oh but the wonderful drive I have to pick up S. YUK!

Sick kids, cats and bowling...Boy time flies! I realize I've been really bad at keeping this up. With the new house and everything I've just been so busy. And in all honesty, nothing exciting has been going on. This past weekend consisted of my daughter having a stomach ache on Sat. I thought I poisoned her after I checked the date on the eggs that I'd made her. The "sell by" date was 5 days prior. GREAT! I gave my kid samonella poisoning!!! That went away so we went shopping and got some things for the house. Got home and the belly ache came back so we just loafed around on the couch for the rest of the night. Her dad called to talk to her and she didn't want to talk and rolled over on her side and put her hand over her ear. Next thing I know she pops up and the hand goes from the ear to her mouth. Wonderful! I know what's coming next so before I got "are you going to throw up?" out of my mouth we were both covered as well as the floor. Gross!!! What I couldn't figure out is why in the hell it was pistachio green??? Maybe the eggs and the blue juice that morning. After all, blue and yellow make green right? Who the hell knows? Explained the icky belly though. Needless to say I cleaned her, myself and the floor up and made a little bed for her and stayed up most of the night waiting for episode #2 which thankfully didn't happen. She was ok the next day so I had her eat some saltines and needless to say, those didn't sit well so she got the shits. UGH! That was over and we were supposed to be in a bowling tournament and she felt good enough to go so we did. The lucky little shit won $10, a really cool Curious George flashlight and a 12 pack of pop. (Yes I live in the north so it's pop and not soda!) We got home and my sister calls and tells me that she won $20 for having the lowest score. Now that was really cool that someone donated money for that. She was so happy. So she learned that even though you don't get the highest score, you can still win in the end. She said that she's making the woman that donated the money a nice little card. :) I know she'll love it.... On to the cat, he's been sick since Thursday. All I could think of was the little shit ate something and I'm gonna have to have surgery done on him again. Wonderful! Well after a weekend of him hacking and coughing and what not I finally got in to a vet to have him checked out. His regular vet is in FL till Monday. Again, Wonderful! Anyway, I got him into a different one and told them I didnt' care if I had to sit till 11p tonight. I just wanted to make sure he was ok. Well, his temp is normally around 101 or 102 and today it was up to 105.7, so yes, he was really sick. He has some kind of lower respitory virus and bacterial infection. UGH! They gave him a shot and sent me on my way with some medicine for him. I have to bring him back tomorrow since I'm not too keen on shoving a thermometer up my cats ass. Thank God!!! Hopefully this will be the end of him getting sick. God I hope so!!! The other cat is doing good and they're finally getting along very well. They want to see him tomorrow too so I'm going to bring the both of them with me. I'll have to stop at work since they haven't seen the new one yet. Not many of them up here that's for sure!!!
other than that, I have nothing for ya. The house is coming along. The living room is still not painted all the way but I started on my daughters room this weekend. That's half done and I'm hoping to have it completed before she comes home. She's with my parents until Thurs since she doesn't have school this week and plans w/ her dad fell though. Such is life I guess.

10 Days...Imagine that. It's been 10 whole days since I've posted. Of course you know I've been busy unpacking and getting my shit situated. What a chore that has been! My place is still a disaster!!!
Got a HUGE snowstorm today. I hate snow. S's school was dismissed early today and there will not be school today. Now I have to decide what to do. My sister is out of town and my parents live in BFE... I suppose I could call a sitter but what fun is that? Then I have to pay them and sit at wrok and do nothing all day tomorrow. Today everything in town shut down.. the banks, courthouse etc... But by george, we stayed open. My car is still at work however. I was not able to get it out of the huge snowdrift at work so I had my cousin drive me home. I'll figure out some way to get it home. No big deal.
Went to a hotel this weekend. I wanted S to have a day away and a day to have fun. Granted it didn't end up being a whole day but the kids had a good couple of hours in the pool anyway. I got myself another sphynx this weekend too. The two of them are hilarious chasing each other around hissing and growling. It's hilarious! I'm sure they'll be buddies by the end of the week. It gets better every day.
Well, just thought I'd say hello. I should go to bed and figure out what I'm going to do in the morning. To work or not to work? That's the question....

Yep.... Still hereWell I'm still alive and kicking.... REALLY kicking!!! It's been an interesting week. I'm still not done painting the living room. I normally only paint when S goes to bed but I did take a few days off so I could situate other things. I still have shit at the apt to get out too which has been difficult to do since I have no place to put it. I've realized that I have less closet and cupboard space in the house than I did in the apt. How that's possible is beyond me. Older house I guess. Anyway, I have 1 whole wall, 3/4 of another and 1/4 of another. The freaking red paint is taking 3 coats per wall so that's taken up much of my time or I'd probably be done with 3 rooms by now! Oh well, it'll be worth it when it's all done. I'm getting used to the red now. At first it was absolutely shocking. I mean, like lipstick red and it wasnt' supposed to be that red. I almost died. Now I kind of like it. I'll have to post some pics of the progress when I get a free minute. This weekends goal is to have the living room DONE (with the exception of the trim), start on the bathroom and get the rest of the shit out of my apt since I told her I'd have it out by Sunday. My dad will be in to help me move the rest of the big stuff I have left as well as the stuff in the shed that I refuse to leave or throw away. I may not use it often but I still need it!
Nothing else has been really exciting to report..... Through a forwarded email I found a friend of mine that I haven't seen in a year or so. We used to flirt back and forth SO bad it wasn't even funny. Due to the circumstances it just couldn't happen but now we're both single but he's living downstate working as a state cop. He's flying in next weekend and wants to take me to dinner on Friday. Hey, it's a free meal! He said I can pick anywhere I want to go... King crab legs are sounding REALLY good about now! I don't really know what to think of him tho. He's kind of a player I think, or maybe it was just because his gf was such a bitch and he wasn't happy w/ her and hadn't been for a very long time. This I know not only from him but from other people too. The other thing is that he just built this big house and wants kids. Of course, you know me and I'm pretty sure I'm done w/ that. In fact, I'm just about positive on that. I guess time will tell. No one knows for sure what the future holds for any of us.
Time for me to do a few things. More later!
